Spiritual Life

 

Prayer Chain Prayer concerns, thanksgiving and intercessory prayer may be offered through our Prayer Chain, led by Jan Calvin. Please contact the church office.


Daughters of the King

is a religious order for women who are communicants in the Episcopal Church, pledging to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism. The members are dedicated to the spreading of Christ's Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of the Parish. Bonnie McHugh serves as President.


Intercessors are volunteers, under the direction of Canon Ted, who are available at the back of the church during and following the service to join anyone in prayers of petition, or intercession for others.

Eucharistic Visitors are lay persons, licensed by the Diocese and under the direction of Canon Ted, who bring communion and care through hospital and home visitation.

Pastoral Care Visitors are trained to assist Canon Ted in visiting the sick and dying, bringing love and care, being good listeners, and responding to special needs in an atmosphere of total confidentiality.

St. Clare Guild gathers twice a month for fellowship, knitting and crocheting for various ministry projects under the leadership of Claire Walker.

The Labyrinth, located to the north of the church building, provides another avenue for prayer and meditation. It is open during daylight hours, and is maintained by the Buildings & Grounds Commission.

Cursillo is a weekend spiritual retreat for adults. Information is available from Canon Ted.

Happening is a weekend spiritual retreat for high school students. Information is available from Canon Ted.
